Order Changes and Cancellations

We will accept any order changes or cancellations provided your order has not already been shipped. Please e-mail orders@modauto.com or you may call us at 714-582-3330. If your order has already been shipped, please see our returns policy for applicable restocking fees and return policies.

If you place an order but then decide to cancel it you may be subject to a 5% cancelation fee. This goes towards the credit card fees & the fee we pay to send money back to your credit card.

Ordering Process and Tracking Numbers

When purchasing from ModAuto.com, you order through our secure, authorized website. Once your order is placed, you will receive an automated invoice to confirm your order. Your order will then be processed within 24 hours of being placed and will be sent to our shipping department who either ships the item directly from our inventory or from our stock kept at one of our supplier’s warehouses. Once your item has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. Often times orders are actually shipped out before we receive a tracking number from the shipping department. Therefore, even if you do not have a tracking number, it does not mean your order has not shipped.  If you have any questions you may call us at 714-582-3330

Returning an Item

We value your business and are happy to assist with any return necessary.  Please e-mail orders@ModAuto.com to arrange for a return and receive an RMA #, or you may call us at 714-582-3330. Click here to see our full returns policy before emailing for a return.  If you are experiencing a problem with fitment on a product or other product quality, please contact us first and we will assist you.  Please do not send any items back to us without first contacting us to receive an RMA #, as often these packages may be rejected if our return instructions are not followed.

Warranty Claims

All warranty claims and returns for damaged items can be processed via email at orders@modauto.com or you may call us at 714-582-3330. We will only accept returns on items which have a manufacturer’s defect and are still within the applicable factory warranty time period. Items that appear to be damaged by wear and tear, misuse, or have exceeded the manufacturer’s warranty time period will not be accepted.

Wholesale Accounts

Under new policy, all new ModAuto.com wholesale accounts must be opened with a minimum $5000 buy in amount. Unfortunately, all other orders will receive retail pricing only. Please EMAIL US with your inquiry and our wholesale representative will return all the details to you to get your account started.  You may also call us at 714-582-3330 and speak to the sales department.

As a master dealer with many of our manufacturers we strive to always bring you the most competitive pricing available. If you find a lower price elsewhere, please contact us via email or phone at 714-582-3330 and we will do our best to match or beat that price! Unfortunately we can not offer price matching with any Ebay auctions.

Sales Tax

Sales tax is only required for orders shipping within our resident states of business. Therefore, all orders shipping within California will be charged sales tax.

Product Listings

ModAuto.com product descriptions are not designed or intended to replace your personal product knowledge, experience and/or research. At ModAuto our goal is to be as accurate and complete in all our product descriptions, pictures, information, and pricing. However, occasional human error may occur during product uploading and we therefore can not guarantee against any typographical errors in pricing or information. In the event of an error or problem with a listing, ModAuto.com shall have the sole discretion to cancel or refuse any order and immediately correct or remove the information.

If you do not see a product on our website that you are looking for, please note that often we have not had time to upload new products to our website. Please inquire before assuming that we do not offer it. We are constantly working to expand our operations and offer our site users more products at lower prices. If we do not have it, we will seek to setup a supply chain to acquire that product.

Group Buys

In almost all business transactions, if you buy something in bulk you get a cheaper price per unit than if you buy each unit individually. However, it does not make sense for a car enthusiast to buy parts in bulk – they have no use for 10 body kits, they only need one. A Group Buy allows customers to get bulk rate prices while only purchasing one unit. How does this work?

The ModAuto team will select a product and designate that if a certain number of people purchase the same product, each person will get a special discount rate. For example: A product product with a retail price of $150 is listed on ModAuto.com with a discount rate of 10%, so the price is $135. When we designate the item as a group buy, once a certain number of customers (can be 5, 10, 15, 20, or any other number) sign up to order the product, each customer will receive a larger discount than normal, for example 15%. Therefore each customer pays $127.50 instead of $135.00 saving an extra $7.50 by participating in the group buy.

If you add the group buy product to your shopping cart and complete the checkout process, your credit card will not be charged until the group buy is “full”. This means that the required number of people for the group buy to go through ordered the product. Your credit card will only be charged if the group buy is completed. If the required number of customers do not purchase the product, your credit card will never be charged and you will be notified that the group buy was not completed.

Shipping and Pick Ups

All orders are shipped directly from our stocking warehouses in various locations throughout the United States. Orders will be shipped by using the fastest and most cost effective method which includes UPS, FedEx, DHL, California Overnight, Bax Global, and USPS. Please note many of these require signature confirmations upon delivery.

Local pick up is available for customers by appointment only in the Orange County, CA area. If the product is located in a local warehouse, we may authorize your pick up directly with the warehouse or bring the product to our office location. Please note that while we offer local pick up on all items, if the item is not located in a local warehouse, we must ship the item to our own office before you can pick it up. In many cases it may be faster to have it shipped to you directly.

Technical Assistance

At ModAuto, since we ourselves are also car enthusiasts, chances are we may have completed the same or similar modification to one of our own cars. Therefore, we may be able to help you with technical problems or installation for various items. We will do our best to provide assistance in most cases, but in the event that we can not assist you with your product, we will direct you to the manufacturer for further technical assistance.

Self Price Matching

If the price of an item on ModAuto.com is reduced within 15 days of your purchase, we will provide you with the difference in price in store credit towards a future purchase at ModAuto as long as the discounted price does not fall under these conditions:

        Manufacturer reduced price permanently from a previous higher price. In this case, we should seek to have the price difference reimbursed to us by the manufacturer so we can reimburse our customer. Understand that this type of price change was not determined by ModAuto and just like you, we paid the higher price previously but we will fight to get you the difference. Manufacturer temporary rebate to ModAuto for a special sales event.

Please note that all price matching credits are in store credit only. No refunds to credit cards will be issued.
